The Franklin Mint items are often not marked for content and that can hurt when selling but the silver ones are .925 fine silver.

Do they have any kind of identifying mark that shows them to be sterling? Just curious.

Many do not. It's kind of funny to think about sometimes too. This piece was made by the Franklin Mint in 1967. It is a sterling silver art round that weighs about 27 grams total, so the round contains about 0.80 troy ounces of pure silver. When it was made in 1967 that was about $1.25 worth of silver! They probably figured it wasn't worth marking!

That could well be. Plus, those who are in constant contact with silver items usually recognize the various kinds for what they are where the rest of us might not. That was some price! Ah, the good old days.
