For all you seasoned sellers out there I could use a bit of help.
I am trying my hand at selling some coins and I have successfully done so! Now, PayPal says the "checkout" is complete but the payment is being processed. My selling reminders also label these as "eligible for second chance offers. But if the buyer already payed, how are they eligible for second chance offers? Is this just because the order is still being processed through PayPal?
Does this mean I should wait to ship until the order payment has finished processing? Or ship as soon as the buyer checks out?

P.S. I believe I didn't post this in the right forum, sorry moderators.

Do not ship until the buyer's payment has cleared. You can double check this by logging into your PayPal account. On your "My Account" page, you should see the buyer's payment in your transaction history. It will show the payment status as "Completed" if the payment has cleared. If the payment has not cleared yet, the payment status will read "Processing" or "Pending" or something similar.

If the buyer paid with an eCheck (which is what it sounds like), it usually takes a few days for it to clear. You'll be notified by email when/if it clears.

When the payment is cleared and it is OK to ship the item, you should see a reminder with an icon of a box in your selling reminders on your My ebay page.

As far as the Second Chance Offer thing goes, just ignore that for now. If by chance the buyer's payment doesn't clear or they fail to make payment, you can make a second chance offer to the next highest bidder if you wish, but again just ignore it for now.

Yup, make sure your paypal account is set up to your ebay account to receive these funds. I had a problem with a new seller not doing this causing confusion, delays.

Well I checked my account and the last payments I made to other sellers are there, but I don't see anything in the payments received category. Is this because the payments have not been processed yet?
Thanks dudes

Some people might have duplicate items for sale also. You can "Second Chance Offer" the underbidder with another item.

Hmmm... The pending payment should appear in your transaction history. Maybe the issue is on your end? Funny Money might be on to something. I vaguely remember something about having to set up my account to receive payments, but I could be wrong.

When all else fails, try calling PayPal. They'll be able to get you squared away if the problem is on your end. Here are their numbers:
