Well friday was day 7 in a row of getting out with my new garret ace250. I'm quite enjoying this new hobby :)

Anywho, friday was really nice out, got the wifey to school and didn't work till 3 so I decided to go to a river-side park that the wife pointed out one day. Upon my arrival I discovered half the park was under water, so I was very restricted to were I could go.

Take was 25 coins @ $1.33 and 1 silver pendant

I found this little number about 6-8 inches down, was expecting another bottlecap as I was digging around a party area. sorry about the blurry pics, the front has a mer-man with a trident and the back has the name "pyrrha" with the 925 stamped in the middle of the nice little crack ( the crack does not go through to the front )

That's a great start. Your learning curve is very small.

well I found out Pyrrha is a jewellry company. Each pendant, ring, etc they make is handcraftedand they use 19th century wax stamps they found when they bought a 100 year old house. Each peice is somewhat unique, and some examples can only be found in their store. Unfortunatly I couldn't find this particular example anywere online so I'm guessing it's one of their older peices. Most of these pendants are sold for anywere between $140 - $400

Nice dig Imohtep!

Was thinking ... Do you need a permission when you dig in places like parks(public places)?
Or what is your idea about it ?

im from Canada too, ON.

it's always good to get permission, wether you call 311 to find out your cities rules and guidelines or you even call the police's non-emergency line to let them know what you are doing incase they get calls.
If you are going to dig at a community club field, check with the owner/manager of the building to see if it's alright ( they will tell you to try and stay out of the soccer/football/baseball fields, but you can always dig around were the seating is, great place for change! )
As for pulic parks, read all signage that pertains to the park, such as dog owner signs, park entry signs, etc. Those will usually have all the rules pertaining to that park.
Also remember that normal street bulivards are city property even tho people still mow them and take care of them. It could be a good idea to hunt those, I've never tried, but always get permission from the house owner, reminding them it is city property in the process might help your side as alot of them won't know that, but the chances of you being able to hunt those is rare.

Happy Hunting!
