My paternal grandfather gave my brother and I a Styrofoam cup half-filled with Wheat cents when we were in grade school. Then shortly thereafter my maternal grandmother gave me some foreign coins she had collected. Then for a few years I kid I did coin roll hunting until high school, during which time we lived by an awesome kid-friendly coin shop.

Started when I was 9, guess I'm still pretty much a young numismatist at 17, and the first coin I bought was a Third Reich 2 mark. I still have every coin I've ever bought, and intend to keep it that way. Only recently have I found my area of coin collecting, which seems to be European coins from 1600-1900, though I'll still buy literally any old coins I see at a flea market.

Been dormant almost four years this one has. You-As-A-Young-Numismatist-Yn

A worthy necro-bump though.
