Slov Cyrill A Methodei Medal Ino Needed

I only collect American medals so there's not much I can tell you other than that's Saints Cyril and Methodius on one side and the Roman Catholic Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius on the other. It is located in the Karlin district of Prague, Czech Republic and was consecrated on October 18th, 1863. As for whether the medal was made in 1863 or 1963 I have no idea...or who made it for that matter. Good luck finding more info on it! The church- Report this Post to the Staff

But whether it was issued in 1863 or 100 years later, I don't know either. You could try and contact the church though, see https://www.farnost-karlin.cz The website is in Czech, but maybe the recipient speaks English, and can tell you something about the piece ... It is an inherited item, and I don't know much info about it. It could have been obtained from the Czech Republic and brought back here, I'm not sure.
