Hello, just wanted some opinions on this 1955 proof Washington quarter I thought of buying recently. It is in an old NGC holder, graded PF68. Just wondering if anyone thought this person got a good deal. I was gunna bid 30$, but got scared off. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Couldnt get the image uploader to work, so the link is bellow

Although Coin Values does not list PF-68, it does list PF-67, which is valued at $50. So your looking at a value of about...$65 in PF-68? Anybody else agree?

$30 would have bee a reasonable bid if you like the coin.

The PR68 is listed in PCGS at an inflated price of $80 or $120 for the +. Cameos and Deep cameos a great deal more.

The Blue book lists PR65 at $12.

Agree, the sold price is probably about right, the PCGS natually is inflated.

I was looking at the items from this seller 2 nights ago. A couple interested me until I started looking at the bidder history on several of his coins. Everyone I looked at had bidders who had high, 40-60%, bid history on his items. Clear sign for me to stay away as it is suspect bidding in my opinion. Opinion only.

MrE, in ebay, you can click on the bids on a item that has not concluded yet and it will show you automatic bids on the item since it was posted. The identity of the bidder is hidden and the bidder is given a random digit alias. Click on a alias and you can see that bidder's bidding history with that particular seller.

Coin World Coin Values puts a PF68 at 60 bucks. Regardless of what PCGS says, I'm pretty sure the Coin World value is about right. So that bid was a heck of a good deal. Half the listed value.
