Has any one been lately I think I will make the trip next weekend either Friday or Saturday. I have not been in about a year. Always like to go at least 1 or 2 times a year. I would also like to go visit the new renovated nature museum have not been in years.

Wish I could see a 36 dot penny at the currency museum but they do not own one. I have NEVER seen one in person I know a guy that owns (in Alberta the one that sold in the Canadiana collection) one and will donate his to the currency museum when he passes away.

Don't they charge admission?
I'd go but the price has always been a deal breaker.

They also are missing the 1859 Brass penny, the 1969 large date dime, the 2000P 10 cents, 25 cents and 50 cent pieces. But I think they have the rest.

Matrix: I tried to contact the currency museum via email last year about the 1859 brass, but no response... I know there is even an 1858 brass in the national currency collection.

Another rarity that I did not see was the 1906 small crown; however, this was not included in the Charlton Catalogue until about 10 years ago, so it is likely that this variety was unknown or considered unimportant at the time that the collection was assembled.

I know the curator well at the currency museum his name is David Bergeron I will give him a call Monday and see what coins they do not have and post them here on this site. They also have one heck of a nice set of paper money. I have never owned a 1906 small crown or a 1859 Brass penny I have my name on many want lists with dealers for the 1859 Brass and nothing in the last 2 years but I am picky I want one in Fine or better without corrosion so not easy to satisfy oh well will wait it out like a storm.
