I found my first WAM while roll searching the other day. How common are these?

Congrats.

To your question ... based on the feedback I read here the 2000 WAM is the most common, but certainly not an everyday find.

I've yet to find one, but have been through only 4 boxes of cents.

Also seems to matter where you live, Right-Coast folks have much better odds than our Left-Coast members.

Not uncommon but not common either. In order of scarcity from least to most scarce..2000, 1998 and 1999.

Nice find! I found my first around a month ago, a 2000 WAM. It was pretty exciting.

I've found a bunch including 2 1999's but I went through a long dry spell. Recently, though, I've been finding 'em again. In the last 4 or 5 weeks I'm up to 5 WAMS, 4-1998's and 1-2000. It's nice to find 'em again since I gave away all of the 1998's and 2000's as gifts.

So, nice find. They're out there.

wide AM, Close AM, DDO, DDR. Thats what I look for. There are a few known dates for searching. Get the 'Strike it Rich WIth Pocket Change' book by Allen & Potter. It has quite a few examples and more

1998 seem to be the most common for me. I have found 3X the number of 1998's as I have 2000's. I was going through at least a box a week for about 6 months but have slowed down for the summer. I have yet to find a 1999. Still waiting.
