received this coin as a gift and am having a hard time finding any info on it ...would appreciate any insight anyone might have as of it's origin or if it is part of a set and what it is made out of ? thank

It is a medallion created for a college coin club. It looks like it could possibly be gold-plated brass. There is also a designer mark on the bulldog side but it is too small to read in the pic.

I did a Google search but sorry couldn't find anything about it ... it all referred to The Military college of South Carolina but no coin club links or info...may be other member will be able to help

yes the only other marks on this coin in really small lettering is the word canada
