planchlet was too small I think, but there are others who know.

You think it came from the mint this way? I just assumed someone filed it down.

The edge is very smooth and the coin is just a wee bit smaller than a 1 cent euro coin.

If the planchet was too small, the metal flow would have distorted all the letters and you wouldn't have that STRONG raised rim.

A weight on the coin will tell you that the rim has been removed.
