Coin Appraisals & Signings at the Royal Canadian Mint at 752 Granville, Vancouver

Two Special Guests: a Coin Expert & a Canadian Artist
Curious about the value of coins you may have purchased or received as a gift or inheritance? Interested in meeting a renowned coin designer? The Royal Canadian Mint on Granville invites you to do both!

Free Coin Appraisals
A coin expert from J&M Coin and Jewellery Ltd., an authorized coin dealer/distributor of the Mint and member of the Canadian Association of Numismatic Dealers, will be at our Granville Street location to appraise your coins free of charge. Our coin expert will provide advice and answer your questions on everything from flaws/errors, to mintages/scarcity, finishes, years, composition or whatever you can think of! Whether it's a circulation coin or a numismatic coin, nothing is considered too old or too new.

Certificate Signings
We're equally thrilled to invite you to meet renowned Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt. As the designer of the most recent effigy of Queen Elizabeth II -- the iconic portrait that has appeared on all Canadian coinage since 2003 -- Ms. Blunt looks forward to being at this event and signing your coin certificates.

We sincerely hope to see you and several intriguing coins at this event! Don't forget you'll also have the chance to see our newest collection of gold and silver coins and collectibles!

What: FREE Coin Appraisals and Artist Signing Event

When: June 4th, 12 pm to 5 pm
June 5th 12 pm to 4 pm

Where: The Mint Boutique - 752 Granville Street (between Robson and Georgia)

I'm going to this event on Saturday,I have a few items I'm hoping Ms.Blunt will sign.
What kind of ink would be best for an ICCS flip?
I'm curious to see who the expert from J&M will be
Phoned there 3 times today to get some info on a coin they have,I might as well have phoned Walmart, they may know more about coins there than the people I talked to at J&M.
Things sure have changed at J&M over the last 20 years.

DBM , the only good marker for writing on plastic etc. is a Staedtler LUMICOLOR (fine) marker available in diffrent colours. It even needs its own dedicated pen like remover for mistakes.
Good luck

Hi DBM, I also had to buy a Canada set and have Suzanna sign the inside. I was able to open the package, have her sign it, then let the ink dry and then put a paper towel inside to let it dry. The first try putting it back in the package, the ink ran. I finally succeeded at home. One thing that I did get her to sign was the Canucks Conference final hat rim. She was quite surprised when I asked her to sign it. I took a couple of coins, as well as the gold coin, that were of different grades to see how close I came to Darrens appraisals. I don't know if I was reading too much into the add, but I thought they were being graded and slabbed. Did anyone else see it in the add or am I just imagining things. I did meet some nice people though.
