The coins of the Emirate of Sind (circa 870-1030 AD) are poorly understood; these emirs belonged to an obscure semi-heretical Islamic sect and the more orthodox Ghaznavid successors who followed after them into India appear to have destroyed whatever records they might have left behind about themselves. The names preserved on the coins are just about all we know about these rulers. The Goron & Goenka catalogue of Indian Sultanates coins merely lists the rulers alphabetically, since we know nothing about which kings ruled in which order. All we can say about the date of any of them is "circa 870-1030 AD".

There are four basic classes of Sind coins, based on obverse inscription. Yours is "Shahada" class (the obverse is the bottom pic), with the traditional Islamic statement of faith. Unfortunately, while the name of Muhammad is clearly readable on the reverse (top pic) of your coin, the ruler's name is off the flan. Which may not matter anyway, since your piece resembles the Shahada coins of "the Uncertain Ruler" whose name cannot be clearly deciphered, several examples of which are on this zeno.ru page. Goron & Goenka notes that this type probably falls towards the end of the Emirate.

.. and when you meet OFEC collectors, you can say "Peccavī" ...
Latin for "I have sinned" [from the verb peccāre - to sin - which also gives us "impeccable" and "peccadillo"] ...
and Pun for "I have Sind"
