Is the large bust quarter worth more with or without the set it came with, vs by itself? Problem is I like the set itself, but was pondering the idea selling the qurter to buy some other coins.

The quarter from the double dollar set is specimen and would not get the same price as a MS(business strike) coin. If it grade SP66 from ICCCS or better it would get more than $350 but uuncertified I would say you would get $225 or so for the set or the coin. Nice thing about the SP set over the PL set is it can always be cut out of a holder and put back in the set.
