found it today during dime roll searching and looks missing the clad layer or just pure copper .
Any idea ?!..

Definitely looks like it's missing the nickel cladding...maybe you can weigh it? Also, if you have calipers, check the measurment compared to a normal dime.

Only other thing I can think of is that maybe is was chemically altered.

It is not missing both clad layers, it is just toned. A dime missing both clad layers would be significantly underweight and have a weak strike because of it.

You can see the fingerprint toning in, because of the oils.
