I think this coin would grade VF because all the letters in LIBERTY are visible and somewhat bold and the band under Liberty is barely incomplete. Also the tips of the Eagle's feathers are somewhat worn and no longer separated.

What are your thoughts? I appreciate your input.

For it's date it 'is' in VF condition and I would say AU too

It might be XF. Compare it to the image below. It looks a lot like the XF example. The difference being in the amount of wear on the eagle's wing tips.

I would XF is a good grade

There is a lot of wear on the high points of the coin. Liberty is a good solid strike with both bars visible, above and below. The original mint lustre seems to be gone from the coin. I would have to grade this coin as a high Fine, maybe F20 but from the pictures but not XF.
If anything, it might hit a VF low number but not XF at all.
