I have a 1993 penny that does not have a copper coating, and the front has an off center punch. I scraped a little on one edge to see if it was zinc plated with copper underneath but nadda. Just curious to see if this interesting item is worth a little and or if there is a demand for it. Thanks in advance.

to CCF. Can't comment on the no copper plating. As far as being an off center punch it is not off enough to have a premium.Starting in 1982 the cent has been copper plated zinc.

Could be an error, could be PMD. Unless you can prove it came out a a bunch of new coins, it's worth 1¢.

Copper plate might have had an acid bath to remove it.

Welcome, gotta agree with the possible acid bath. It doesn't look like there is any luster, if it were struck unplatted it should show some luster. IMHO
