I'm subscribed to a number of numismatic and precious metal related newsletters. Usually I get offers to buy coins, bars, medals etc. But yesterday and today I got two newsletter e-mails from coin and PM traders that they want to buy my gold. One of them was like: "You certainly need some money for holidays, don't you? Good news: you can sell us your gold!"

Could it be a sign that PM's prices are to grow soon?

Could be, or could be their inventories are getting low but low inventories of commodities often leads to higher prices too.

Wasn't one of the large online dealers buying Silver Eagles $3.00 over spot just when Silver was up to about $48.? I still think actual silver is being purchased, it's all the paper silver causing the flux.

They make regular profits on the premiums. A steady market is a steady profit.

With the recent volatility in PM's, I can see a lot of individuals holding and hoping for higher prices, depriving these dealers of their normal turnover. If they are getting really antsy for buyers, it is because enough of the normal guys aren't selling right now.
