Congrats on the '99......

I found my first '99 at 2:30 in the morning and couldn't share it with anybody....without getting in trouble....

I think we can wait another day for the elusive '99 pics

Wild Bill,
Your WAM count seems to be in contrast to what I am finding. Maybe I'm just lucky, but the 2000 WAM has been a least common find for me outside of the 1999 of course. I've discovered many more 1998 WAM's than 2000.

I believe geography may be in play here. I'm located in KY. SE KY to be specific. My coin boxes come from Dunbar. Dunbar boxes are usually never exciting. But I occasionally find some interesting pieces.

I'm inclined to believe that the 2000 WAM is rarer than the 1998 WAM based on the coins I've discovered.

Yeah.....I think that....from what I've sorted....that distribution and geography has a major role in finding WAM's as we do........

I can not remember who in the Michigan region finds more '98s than 2000's.......

again....sweeeet on the '99

Not to hi-jack this thread.....

Like chuckster 125......I found the wide-am.....flipped it over and seen 1999....flipped it back over to check if it still had a gap....flipped it back over again to check the date....I can still remember the deer in the head lights shock......

Congrats again Chadwick on the find

I did the same thing. I looked at it. Then I took a break. Waited a while. Looked at it again.

I expected to see the AM close. But it didn't. I've searched for this coin for over two years. Hundreds of thousands of cents I've searched. Finally, victory. I've found one.

Considering the discoloration on the obverse, should I send it too PCGS, or just hold it?

Just once or twice...I had to look and re-look and then re-look....100's of times for both of my 99 finds. And might I say...a short happy dance after each look, too!

AWESOME FIND!

Congrats on a tough find! I too live in SE Ky, and in about 4 years of roll searching my totals are as follows. '98-8, '99-1, '00-6. I found my only '99 just a few months ago.
