I've been given the opportunity to purchase this coin. Please give grade opinions and approximate value.

AU55 possibly AU58. Very nice coin. I'm not sure, but your coin looks like it may have been cleaned. This would not be surprising since most old copper has been cleaned at one time or another.

Very nice looking Half Cent. I would give it an AU-55 also. It is a good strike but not great. The stars on the left hand side on the obverse aren't very defined. Could be due to circulation but I tend to lean towards a weakness in the pressure of the die on that side.

Depending on how much they want I would buy it. It's the 13 star version which is the cheaper one by the way and the latest value for an AU-50 is $200 and in AU-58 it is $250 on CoinValues website. Hopefully you are getting it somewhere in this range and perhaps lower would be nice. Cheaper is always nice.

AU 55 to me. I don't think the coin has been cleaned as I do not see the same effects on the rev. Looks to me
like it has been stored in an old Wayte Raymond with the back enclosed.

Looks like too many hits to make 55 or 58. I'd guess AU-50.

Like I said earlier, I've been given the opportunity to purchase this coin from a trusty dealer. Here's the price: $90 shipped and insured. He's going to Baltimore, though, and told me he'd try to find a nice 1803 or 1805 Draped Bust half dollar in VG and/or a couple of nice Capped Bust Halves. Here's my dilema: I can pay off the dealer in increments, $50 down for the coin and the remaining $40 at my leisure, and he'll send me the coin first. But would you buy this coin or wait for the draped bust half?
Thanks for your help.
