Hi, just wondering if any canadian penny sorters have found a way to return all the zincs? I'm talking about 40-50 boxes at a time volume.

Trade them. I trade my Canadian, Euro and Pound for silver or for other coins that I like.
You can always sell them on ebay for face value if you accumulate enough.

If the dollar (ever) goes back up in value- you can make some money on them and sell them for above face- Only really makes sense if you have 20 bucks or more in coinage. Also, if you (or someone you know) is planning on taking a trip to the US bring them with you to spend.

thanks for the response, however, I'm referring to the large volume of zincs that need to be returned to "the bank" or wherever in very large volume (40-50 boxes at a time) Getting rid of the actual copper pennies is the easy part of the hobby.....

Semi not serious - melt them into zinc blocks and sell them to the recycler in Toronto or on ebay as anodes. I actually use them for the zinc plating bath, it's easy to get the zinc out into solution and leave the copper shells.

here in the US it is, for our cents. Don't know about Canada, though.

Not illegal here if it's US money.
