A few scratches and abrasions were inevitable once the coin entered circulation. The bulge on the reverse stands higher than the design rim and is thus particularly vulnerable to damage.
In a way, the public has gotten a chance to see many of the highlights of my collection. Many of my prized specimens have appeared in the hundreds of articles I've penned for Errorscope, Coin World, Mint Error News, and other publications.
