Hey everyone,

I am working on building the ATB set of the 5oz uncirculated coins.

Since they will coming out over the next ten years, and I plan on completing the entire 56 coin collection, should I consider getting them graded? Or the encapsulation they are in now will be suffice?

Thanks everyone! I look forward to your advice and opinions.

You can get the 69 PL (proof like) bullion coins in NGC or PCGS slabs already graded for about the cost of buying and having them graded individually.

2010's have higher premiums at 69PL and it depends on the coin.

nevid, collecting every single release of the uncirculated ATB is an ambitious achievement.

If you do get them graded remember that each coin will come in a slab that is the size and width of a typical DVD case, so storage becomes an issue as the series progresses. As these are vapor blasted surfaces, the P mint coins will never come with mirror surfaces, so will not get a PL designation by a TPG, unless a coin misses the process entirely. The Z5 Air-Tite or the mint capsule would be ok for long term storage, unless you are aiming for SP70 slab.

I have no opinion on grading versus US Mint holders ... however ...

That would be a wonderful accomplishment and worthy of any great Quest.

Looking forward to your updates as you pursue this set.

Thanks everybody for all the opinions and information.

I have all of the releases to date, and am enjoying every coin as they arrive! I also have other coin endeavors taking place while building my mint set. Fun stuff!

Thanks again!

I have all of them thus far, As far as having them graded, I'd love to, but then I'd end up wanting all the same grade and that would be quite an expensive endeavor.
