Moderators, not sure if this is the right spot to put this but if it isn't please move.

I know what the ANA is and what it's about, however, I don't know if it's worth joining?

What benefits have you guys seen other then saying "I'm part of the ANA".

How does the grading service work and whats the discount if your an ANA member vs. if your not?

Benefits of membership

The monthly magazine The Numismatist.

An incredible lending library. They have thousands of books, magazines, and other material that is available for just the cost of postage & insurance both ways.

If you live close to one of the sites of the two annual conventions, you get in for free.

Direct submission to NGC without having to pay to join NGC's collector society. (And the ANA dues are less than the NGC membership.)

Wow...I didn't know they had a lending library...for someone that reads as much as I do, that makes it worth it...

I didn't know about the NGC submission either.

thanks!

Think of it this way. You've got really little to loose by joining and always something to gain. The more you know about your hobby, coins or anything, the more you'll enjoy that subject.
