I just picked up three Barr notes from a friend of mine. I was telling him how I pulled a AU Series 1985 the other day, and he said "That's not that old". So I asked him what he had, as he read them off I noticed he said he had three 1963's. After I bought them from him, I realized they are Barr notes. This just proves that you never know what you'll find if you look.

I have found like 5 or 6 I think from change since I started looking at bills as collectible (never bought any Barr notes). I have never really found anything very valuable but I keep everything I like myself whether it has value to anyone else or not

Barr's are nice to find. BUT they are plentiful out there in chcu.

FWIW, every time I go into a smaller town around my area, I always find 2 or 3 barrs whenever I pick up straps from the banks in that town.

And that's exactly the way collecting should be. If you like it, that's all that matters.

To get back on topic, I have not found any Barr notes yet, but who knows what tomorrow (or today) will bring.

I suppose I could buy some, but there is something to be said about finding bills in circulation.

I have not seen a Barr in circulation since the 1970's. Why does everybody have more fun than me?
