I hope. I'm not sure if I'm just paranoid or what, but I'm just not sure if this coin is original or has been dipped. I'm hoping you guys tell me it's original and worthy of my album. If it has been dipped, any way to un-dip it? Because, I will be extremely disappointed and looking to replace it. I'll hold off on a slobber grade until I hear from the community.

You could cross-post this one in grading. Nice DDR! I don't have an opinion on dipping.

Wow, a very attractive DDR. With hairline scratches, looks not dip to me but polished and then toned a little bit to beautify its appearance.

Looks polished to me, but then part of that could be the sheen of the thin plastic holder it seems to be in.

Quote: we do, but we dont want to upset you Well, then what is the point in asking and posting if you can't get an honest answer. When I got the coin in the mail, I was a little suspicious of it. I've learned that people don't "volunteer" information and if you don't ask - they won't tell. So, I asked him - hoping I would get an honest answer. He told me he didn't believe it to be dipped or polished and that it looked like every other BU coin in his collection. As much as I would love to believe that, throw it in my album and call it a day - it's been bugging me that something just "doesn't seem right". So, I *thought* I would turn to the people I trust to shoot straight with me.

Hey Scooby that's a hard one to get. Like yourself, I am not comfortable with the "look" based on your pictures. I believe it has been "helped". If just a minor dip, retoning should return some originality. As far as grade I would call it an AU53.

Yeah--far better to shoot straight the first time, than try to cover your tracks over a poor choice of words later on. So...I noticed this coin was awfully bright, but I've had silver coins misrepresented by photographs; they always look different in-hand. So I declined to say either way. (I need a straight-shooter icon to post here)

Thanks guys - I guess when you have that nagging voice inside, you should pay attention to it.

Toss it in your coinless pocket for a couple days and rub it with your fingers. :D

Very nice DDR... I'm thinking no more than AU53 those pesky feathers may get in the way for grade...but the DDR is fantastic...
