This didn't happen to me but I am curious just in case it does. If I sell something on ebay and get delivery confirmation..... pretend the buyer says they never received the item, but the tracking number says it was delivered. If it says it is delivered are we not responsible anymore? or can we still lose out and have to issue a refund to the buyer who never received the item? for all you know they could just be lying. what happens here?

As long as the tracking # shows delivered, you should be in the clear..

I have had to be very vigilante with items shipped through the USPS. On one day I was expecting 4 separate items to be delivered. I followed them on the web site and after the mail was delivered and I got nothing, I went to the web site and saw they were all marked delivered. The postal carrier had put them in the wrong mail box of a neighbor. I had to track down the mail carrier, and confront him about it. He returned to the location and retrieved the items and I did get 3 of the 4 back. Never did see the 4Th item. This has happened in the past as well. So just because it says delivered, it doesn't guarantee it was to the proper address. So I always ask for insurance as well, even if it costs me more and is hard to collect on.

I have to take heavy medication everyday to help with severe pain. I get shipments delivered to my house for free from the drug company. I was tracking the delivery and it said it was "Out for Delivery," but it was going to the right address in the wrong city. I had to make calls to the sender, the Post Office in the wrong city and finally to my Post Office.

I missed my dose for 36 hours because of the mistake. It turned out that the person they tried to deliver to wasn't home and they returned the package back to the Central Processing Center. I called my Post Office again the 2nd day and they had just received the package. I asked them to hold it until I could get there. I live a block from the Post Office, so it was no big deal.

I'm glad the other person wasn't home that day, or they might have accepted my package full of drugs.

According to paypal representatives I've spoken to if the package is marked delivered after the buyer wins a paypal case against you, paypal will not return the money to the seller even though the package was received by the buyer.

Meaning that if it says it is delivered and the buyer says they never got it, the buyer will win this case and get their money back?
