I am searching for this answer- Does the 2007 china silver panda have straight or angled reeds? I have read two differing answers. I bought a 2007 from a domestic eBayer. It looks suspicious b/c its weight is 28.4 oz (s/b 31 oz) and the edge reeding is straight. Otherwise it looks OK. pandausa and pandaamerica (good sites) do not give the reeding.

if its under weight I would suspect it is fake. Does it have the 10 yuan denomination on it?

The whole point of a bullion coin is a precise weight of gold/silver/etc.

Check out this site--it has some good comparison pics for genuine and fake pandas.

I'm STILL HOPING SOMEONE WILL ANSWER MY QUESTION:
Does the 2007 china silver panda have straight or angled reeds?
When did the Chinese convert to angled reeding on the Pandas' edges? I appreciate the answers you offered but they were basic knowlege.

I asked around my circle of friends, and they said anything after 2001 should have angled reeded edges.
