I have better pictures but the process of making them smaller to down load here do not allow them to be downloaded on this site. I can be reached at ***E-Mail Address Removed*** and can send the better pictures to anyone who might be able to be more of an authority on this coin.

I did it came to me in a "zipped" file and then I had to reduce it further. And that picture is the result. I see that email addresses are a no-no, but I did get one out and I will try Coin World as it is obvious that CC does not want us to communicate and help each other....

Thank you for scanning in my attempt at photography on the Bust dollar. Any one got any ideas as to if it is real. The star pattern is different, and depending on who you read, it is either rare (8000 minted) or over 60,000 as the mint kept minting it into 1798. But those had more stars in them.

Diameter is 40 cm
Weight is 23.5 grams.

Came in a box I bid on unopened and locked for some time.

If you want to have someone e-mail you, then enable it in your profile.

They can then click on the Help-With-Coin icon above your post!

Your e-mail address was removed because web crawlers will pick it up. But if you really want more spam, we can put it back.

I am sorry if that is how you feel, but you must understand how forums work.

I split your posts into its own topic in the Classic US Coin forum.

Being in such a long thread (one that was meant to 'show' more than 'discuss') is part of the reason why you were not getting a lot of attention to your questions.

I hope you meant 40mm and not 40cm which would be about 16 inches. The problem is the weight- 23.5 grams is 3.5 grams light and virtually impossible for a genuine coin with only light wear. The dentils also look funky to me, does the "coin" have edge lettering?
