If they want those dollar coins to circulate, they need to completely stop printing and distributing the dollar notes.

Sorry to have attempted to steal you thunder Changeless on posting a similar article in the PM section so to speak, but it just goes to show great minds think alike perhaps, rof....

I did not see this thread, as I am not sure what section it is even in?

Quick mod note. I noticed when someone posts a link in another section from this forum, when you click on it and scroll to the top of the page, it has the author's name and title but I can't find a section listing, am I just missing it?

And back on point, as one fellow I work with who is going to school to become an investment banker says...."What are we gonna use for a new currency, as it can't be silver or gold." There is no where close to enough platinum for example and I know that would never happen. What could the gov or world perhaps make a new source of plentiful coin based currency, which is not to valuable like gold, but not worthless like paper, perhaps a fine medium?

Maybe DuPont could make it out of new high dollar polymers and plastics, lol....

It should be just above the thread title, just down from the "What's in your pocket?" logo

Now's not a bad time to get the dollar coins circulating, as Lincoln is out now. I think they were waiting for enough recognizable presidents to be minted so that they could be accepted more readily. My guess...

Why don't they just put Washington as the main design already and make it look like a $1 bill? Something to do with Sacagewea and some law?
