Tam Valued Member United States 200 Posts	Posted 07/11/2011 4:40 pm Haxby states it as .950 copper, .040 tin, .010 zinc. Know that your 1859 may be a variety of that year, there are several. It is a very clean and nicely worn coin, very nice. If you can take a closer picture of the date, we might be able to determine which variety {if any} you may have. From what I see, even after enlarging, seems to be the common early narrow 9, but I can't really tell too well with my enlargement. Report this Post to the Staff

MrCanada Pillar of the Community Canada 650 Posts	Posted 07/19/2011 01:46 am Curious about this I have a 59 on a distinctly thin planchet about 1/2 normall and it is not wear as the coin is I think in fine hardly any wear.
