A local coin dealer is selling all his coins at 50% off. He has a Morgan dollar and a 1996 silver dollar. He said for those coins he would only charge the actual silver value of them. What is the price of silver now for silver dollars? I posted a few pictures as to some other coins that he had for sale.

Let me go ahead and apologize for the poor picture quality. The really big coins in the pictures are 1 cent coronet cents.

Its really hard to tell what coins are listed let alone trying to give you an accurate grade assement or value of said coins. If you could provide better imagery of the coins we would be glad to make a best guess estimate as to the value. sorry couldn't help more.

Aladinslamp, I think the site creates that link. Not the poster. As far as wether or not those are good deals, we need more info. If he is asking half of the prices listed on the 2 x 2 s there could be some deals there.

I'd bite at the morgan ($29.05 when silver is $37.56/troy ounce) and the one ounce silver eagle ($37.56) for melt.

Sorry that Morgan dollar link was made by mistake. I think I will go for the morgan and the silver eagle. If I get any others tomorrow I will post them. Also would it be worth while to grab a few flying eagles?

At 50% I would buy the large cents and the Flying Eagle cents. Two of my top three favorite coins.

And I know of a store that has a going out of buisness sign in the window for a few years now too.
One jewlery place has a 50% sign in the window too. Been there since the store opened.
50% of WHAT? Be carefull of stuff like that. You would have to check each coin, for grade, for price, etc.
50% off is similar to "I have these UNSEARCHED coins and no nothing about them"

Hard to tell by the pics but some of those look to be worth about half the asking price (if that).
But surely there are deals in there so do your homework!

Personally I'd go through his collection with a RedBook and see how close he is, if he's got 50% off key dates , I'd grab em in a heartbeat!

I got him to go through a couple of different coin books and to tell me the approximate value of the coins and what grade they were. Here are a few of the big coins I got and this time with much better picture quality. The second set of pictures here are the reverse sides of the first pictures.

I would agree, but after he offered to sell all his indian head pennys and certain other small cents and nickels for their face value I really couldn't help but buy them. :)
