I'd like some help with an Italian medal.

Italian-Touring-Club-1904
It was issued by Il Touring Club Italiano in 1904 and celebrates the club's tenth anniversary (I think).
Can any one confirm my translation?
"Il Touring Club Italiano ricorda a cinquanta mila soci il compiuto decennio della sua utile e gagliarda vita MCMIV"
On the obverse to the left are the initials SJ stamped below the club's insignia, on the right of the suspension loop, ET; and opposite the nose MENTE.
If my Italian is anywhere near right, I'm getting the impression that this medal is one of only fifty issued.
Any guesses?
Thanks,
Bob

Thank you Adam_E. I almost had it right. My Italian is basic, but in this case probably better than Babel; which really mangled it.

Coin collection has for sure not been my thing, I tried once but I could not keep up!

I have friends who have been collecting coins for decades and maybe I can en quire from them. Its good to have this masterpieces with you.it keeps you on-toes with history. I like the practice anyway.
