This week my wife and I have been volunteering at a church camp. The camp's theme is an African safari, and in the process of working at the camp, I overheard a group of kids (7-9yr olds) about how awesome it would have been if they somehow could get ahold of African coins while at the camp. It really surprised me that there would be several that seemed to have a genuine interest in the topic, so I decided that I would bring what,i have next week to give out. However I realized it would be even better if I could send every kid home with their own African coin. So , I need to find somewhere I can get around 300 African coins in a extremely short time span. I tried ebay but couldn't find enougn to fit the need. So could someone let me know of somewhere I could get 300 african coins EXTREMELY quick? Nothing fancy or rare, just coins. schockergd The obvious place to get cheap African coins is in a coin dealer's junk box, where coins are offered at 10 cents or less each.
Most dealers will not charge less than 10 cents per coin, so that is likely to leave you with an expense of $30 for 300 coins. Perhaps you could do a deal for buying in bulk; that would still leave you with a cost of 5 to 10 cents per coin.
That would have to be around or below the original face value of the coins anyway.
To solve this sort of problem you have to find a coin dealer, which may be hard to do if you do not live in a city big enough for such a coin dealer. Even so, you still have to invest some time in getting there, and finding the coins in his junk box.
If you can't find the time for such an exercise, you will have to think 'outside the square', and find another approach that avoids using coins. At least, that may be cheaper on time and cost for you.

Years ago I rounded out my darksiders with lots from Black Mountain coins. I know they're still in buisness. I bought continent specific then.

Thanks , they're getting a quote to me, I Had one person suggest to try the local airport's currency exchange, so I'm looking at that too.
