Hey, all I've started a couple topics now asking for info on albums from AirTite and Intercept. Now I'm looking for a place to buy them. I've spent a nice chunk of time now looking for a single on-line seller who carries these two brands as well as Dansco. So far, I've come up empty. The best deals I've found have been jpscorner for the AirTite album & holders plus the Dansco album; and uscoinsupply.com for the Intercept album. I'd prefer not to pay two S&H fees (would be $11.50 for three albums). Does anyone have a favorite seller that happens to carry all three brands? Of course, this problem vanishes if I bail on the Intercept and stick with Dansco. TIA

Thanks for the link, Tpatna.
I actually had come across that site. They have a very large selection of AirTite holder holders, but I don't see the Album. Strange, maybe I'll email about it.
BTW, their prices are competitive until you get to the AirTites, for which there are much better deals out there.

I've read these posts with interest as I am thinking of switching to AirTites (from the square 2x2 plastic holders), at least for some of my better coins.
How does JP's Corner manage to sell the AirTites with rings for almost half of what everybody else is asking? I remember seeing something about there being supplies dealers selling cheap imitations of AirTites and being warned to make sure they came on the bubble-pack card to know they were the real thing.
Has anybody ordered AirTites from JP's yet to know?

This place has a lot of coin supplies, though, apparently, they no longer carry the Intercept Shield products you wanted. It looks like Dansco has a version of these which I hadn't heard about. In any case, they have a lot of stuff and it's worth a look at their site: http://www.brent-krueger.com/

Here you go mick! This is an outfit that I have used for many years. In fact, they have been so good at having and shipping what I have needed, that I simply don't know of any other place. So here it is, and take a look: http://www.amosadvantage.com/scotto...at.asp?Tab=c

Beat me to it. I've done a fair bit of business with Brent Krueger, although I use CoinEdge products for my stuff, so I can see the rims. With CoinEdge holders, you can even see the reeding when it's in the album.

Apparently there are two different kinds of packaging: the retail lots, which are individually packaged and bulk lots, which do not come in their own packaging. The retail packaging seems to go for no less than 79 cents and volume discounts are rarely applied. The bulk packaging can go for less than 40 cents in large quantities and can be had for less than 50 cents in lower numbers. As for knockoffs, JP's sells a selection of AirTite branded supplies in addition to the holders. I'm certain the manufacturer would not allow them to do so if they weren't selling the real deal on their cash cow. Another company, Air-Tites.com, answers these questions directly: quote: Q: I've seen Air-Tites sold on other sites for more than double the price you're charging, are you selling the real Air-Tites made in the USA, or are your capsules imported from China?
A: We only sell authentic Air-Tite brand capsules that are manufactured in the United States. Our prices are lower than average (and far below retail) because we buy in large bulk quantities, securely package and pack them ourselves and pass the savings on to our customers. We don't like paying more for the red retail packaging because the package costs more than the capsule! Most of our customers agree, and they realize that our method allows them to buy many more capsules per dollar than our competitors.
Q: Do you sell the red retail Air-Tite packs that are found in coin shops?
A: We do not stock the retail packs but we can special order them for you. We have found that most of our customers are looking for the best value for their money and do not want to spend more for special packaging than they're spending for the actual product they need. Why pay $1.00+ for a .50¢ product? It doesn't make any sense to us and most of our customers agree. If you're a dealer with a shop then obviously you may need retail packs, but most collectors do not want to spend .50¢+ for a piece of paper that will be thrown in the trash.

I have not bought from JP's Corner but I do have them bookmarked since they do have good prices. Another place to look is http://subwaystamp.com/departments.asp?dept=355 they have very good prices on albums and supplies. they do not have the AirTite or Intercept albums but they do have dansco and whitman albums. if you open a account which is free then I beleave it is 15-20% off of the price shown. They are the only dealer I have bought online from. I get a great price on all of my supply from my delaer in town. sell all supply at 15% off so I usally can't be it anywhere else

Thanks, guys. Brent-Krueger has been on my radar. It's a shame they no longer carry the Intercept products. They aren't the cheapest I've found, but they are in the ballpark. And people who have done business with them rate them highly. Amos Advantage is another good suggestion. I have their glossy catalogue, but somehow forgot them when doing my online comparison. They seem to go with every capsule maker out there except AirTite. Odd. For reference, some others I've looked at include coin-collecting-supplies.us (Kelleyscoins.com) uscoinsupply.com hobby-supplies.com tradewindssupplies.com brent-krueger.com jpscorner.com coinsupplystore.com jakesmp.net kaymarie.com air-tites.com amosadvantage.com I'll look at subwaystamp.com next....

I have ordered heaps of stuff from Brent-Krueger. Occasionally there are problems -- they sent the wrong thing or something was damaged -- but they always made it good. Their shipping fees seem a little high, but they almost always have what I want to buy, and I have a history with them. And Texasmick -- thanks for the skinny on airtites.com. Jan
