If you are selling to APMEX, don't expect the listed buy back price unless you are selling 10K or more. Here is the response I got from the rep when I questioned the price.

"If you notice the price online for the American silver eagles 2011 is $1.70 over spot... I locked you in at $36.17 and paid you $37.87 per eagle. On your gold buffalo I paid you $25.00 over spot, the listed price on our website is $35.00 over spot.

Notice that our buy back prices are indications only based on transactions on $10,000.00 or more. Therefore, you should have been given a buy back price of $25.00 over spot per buffalo and only $1.50 over spot per eagle.

I honored the buyback price for your eagles but was unable to honor the buyback price on the buffalo."

They still pay pretty good though.
