Hey all,

came across a description of a 1923 25 cent canadian note with "unauthorized" in the name. Any one have any idea as to what the unauthorized meant?

Authorized notes have"Authorized by XXXXXXX" over the comptroller's signature,"unauthorized" notes don't
It's just a name given by collectors,both are legal tender
