Results from ANACS - MS-60 *Details Recolored. Anyone know what they mean by "recolored" and the effect that this has on the value of the coin?

Not original surfaces.
My guess is dipped and retoned.
Still a nice and valuable semi key Lincoln.
Worth what you can get for it, certainly not as much as an original coin. I really don't know the "discount" and am interested to know.

Congrats! At least it's genuine. The "recolored" designation is mostly bull. In the majority of cases, it simply means the coin doesn't meet the look the TPG is after for coins in their slabs. All of the major TPG's have been tougher and tougher on color and toning the past few years. If copper doesn't fall into a certain color range, they reject it as recolored, cleaned or artificially toned.....even in cases where the coin is original. I've had my share rejected, so has my dealer and many other collectors. It doesn't mean you have a "bad" coin, it just means the TPG didn't like it for their slab.
