Easily VF. I would say more like EF. Very little wear, a lot of detail on the high points. Nice coin I wish I had in my collection.

certainly by the breakdown Krause uses in its catalogs this is XF. I would lean toward EF-40 if I had to break it down further. But there are multiple opinions on that breakdown I'm sure. But I agree, a very nice looking coin

Thanks for the info. I'm glad I went back to get it. It was at a pawn shop; the guy only charged me melt.
