Alright folks... My photography hasn't been kind to this old girl, and neither has life, apparently. Net grade this as if you were a buyer, I'd love to hear some CQR grades, if you have them. Later, I'll share attribution. Be hard on her (not that it will be tough), but honest. I'll post single-source lights from three different angles, just so you can get the full impact of the damage: Light from Left: Top: Right: I'll bet you didn't know women played football in 1796! :) Left: Top: Right: Thank you!

I'll say barely G4 damaged.

My guess would be VG8 details 1795 reverse with single leaves.
I think that may be the one I played with in My dads vise in 1953.

To preface - I am not too familiar with this series. But I would say VG-8 details with corrosion, harshly cleaned with damage. As for a final grade, beats me.

The details prior to the damage would be VG-8. Now the damage in my opinion unless it was a rarity 3 or higher would just make it a filler. There are about 40 Sheldon varieties for this date. A scudzy coin of this date without attributing it would be maybe $30-$40 as a filler. My best guesstimate.

So this is the coin you were talking about! I like it no matter the scratch. How much did you get it for again?

VG details damaged. Believe it's S-116.R-6? Looks like 3 leave clusters match up.

Correct Rayman! 116! Sadly, not R6 anymore, R5- Well Jake, it looks like I paid about right, perhaps too much. Oh well! Learning experience... Having it in hand, this one is darker and a really pretty dark chocolate. I fixed the white balance on my camera, but it's still not showing the real depth and darkness. Getting it in hand, I'm so excited! I thought VG8 when I bought, but I'd make arguments for F- (it doesn't really matter because of the extensive damage, but!) I'm ecstatic with my purchase, even if I paid strong. (A little over $200) Better pictures:

AND - THANK YOU ALL for your honest opinions! VG8 is where I had it before I got it, so VG8 (net AG3) is the call. (Details: Heavily Damaged, that is!) =)

If I owned it, I'd ebay without a grade, but I don't see how it can be called anything but a filler, worth 1/3 of G price.

Quote: worth 1/3 of G price I hope it is! I that case, I practically stole it for what I paid! =) But I don't think it is, based on what everybody said here tonight... We shall see.

I agree with VG details. The cleaning/corrosion doesn't look bad to me, but the damage would have a large impact on value imho. I have no idea about attribution, so I'll take your word on it. :-)
