I am not saying that this is the case or even trying to defend this seller. Maybe if someone discretely sent him this link. It might help him http://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/#Because he definitely needs it

They must have graded that thing in the dark! Theres no way that its anywhere close to F-VF. Also I can't believe that has almost 300 sales and only 1 negative comment and it had nothing to do with coin sales. I bet if anyone buys that one he will have 2 negative comments!

The true crime would be someone paying that much, and their guardian/power of attorney allowing them.

I bet TPG G. He provides nice pix, so regardless of the "grade" the question is "is this worth $99 to you?" If not, don't bid.

Fred I realize the all grades are subjective but this one's not even in the same realm as what he suggests.....Yes the coin is very well displayed on the listing by why try an sell it by describing it as something that it obviously isn't? ESPECIALLY in big bold letters! As for bidding on it I'd be hard pressed to bid $9.99 for it let alone $99.00! Shame shame shame.

I'd take a roll like that at $9.99 per. The purpose of a grade is to give a buyer who can't see the coin an approximate idea what it looks like. Most of us know roughly what a vg IHC looks like. When you provide a clear pix, you have provided a "thousand word" grade instead of a couple letters. Since everyone's working from the same "description", the only thing a ridiculously high grade in the text shows is that the seller's not too swift at grading. Anyone taking his high grade over the pix deserves whatever they get. On the flip side, after he tries a few sales at $99 don't work, maybe he'll get the message.

I agree with the poor grading on this coin. It looks like it was scrubbed with an SOS pad. In the seller's defense, there have been "similar", I use that term lightly, coins sell for around what he is asking. http://cgi.ebay.com/1932-D-WASHINGT...t_521wt_1071is one that ended 5 minutes before his. The good thing about a free market is that sellers can ask what they want, and buyers are able to say NO.
