I have absolutely no experience with foreign coins, but do have a few laying around. I figured it was about time to figure out what they are and if they are worth anything. All opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, David

1} Is a well-used British Geo.V farthing, IMO. I don't really see it being a half-penny, but the reverse is very worn. Either will be copper. Compare it's size with your coin #4, if same, half-penny, if not your coin #1 is very likely a farthing. The farthing is KM #808.1, the half-penny is KM #809. I just can't tell, if there are any of the "Farthing" letters around her crown's crest, and/or if next to the trident tips.

2} That's a decent Netherlands One Gulden, it has a KM #161 listing and a Yeoman #46. Weighs 10 grams, .720 Silver, for .2315 Ounce ASW. Nice coin.

3} Is a CuNi One Koruna from the Socialist era. KM #4.

4} And this is the Geo VI edition of your coin #1,{if it's a half-penny, that is, :). The Ship reverse began with the Geo VI issues. Km #844, bronze composition.

Their mintages and pricing are for common coins {relatively speaking to their year of issue}. The nicest from that thought is your coin #2, the Gulden.

Hope this helps a bit.

Just one small point, coin 1) would be bronze. All "coppers" (that general term is still used even for decimal coins), were changed from copper to bronze in 1860.

Bill.
