I've use IGS for some lower end coins and have had success selling these out of my office but not online. Is this company reputiable enough to grade the low stuff in your opinion?

Thank-you for your thoughts

i have never heard of them. I looked them up and apparently they grade any collectible. unfortunately the only grading services I will trust are pcgs, ngc, icg and anacs. they are the only legitimate coin grading and authentication services for coins that I know of

If the coin is not graded by 1 of the 4 major grading services that dom mentioned, I treat the coin as raw.
Here are two threads from several years ago that talked about IGS

It's entirely possible that they are honorable and well-intentioned. Educated buyers won't care; to them it's just another alphabet-soup kitchen-table slabber.

They have apparently been around since 2000 (I liked their early slabs and labels better than their current ones.) but they are still a somewhat questionable service that disclaims any responsibility for their opinions.
