Downtown Chicago or out in the burbs? Also, there is a huge show in Rosemont (near O'Hare airport) in the middle of August. Not sure when you are coming. If you are staying over a Sunday, there are good shows in the suburbs on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the month as well.

2nd Sunday of every Month is in Countryside, Illinois. In August it's on the 14th. South on Manheim Road until it changes to LaGrange Road. The about 66th Street it meets Joliet Road. Turn West, right turn, two big black buildings on left side about one block West. Coin show is in back of 2nd building. SUPPOSED to start at 9AM but usually people are there buying and selling by 8:30AM or sometimes earlier. Usually about 80+ dealers. In the middle, near the far end from the front is a dealer with about 4 tables. Robert Griffiths. Fantastic assortment of coins, and sort of high prices but really negotiable. Free admittance, free parking.
3rd Sunday is in Itasca, Il. West on Irving Park Road, think it's Illinois 20 but not sure. Past Bennsenville, past Wood Dale, into Itasca. Past old Train station, over a bridge, on left side of Street is a Holiday Inn where the coin show is held.
Downtown Chicago is Harlan J. Berk, 31 N. Clark Steet, excessively overpriced and rude personal.
Hard to find is Morton Grove Coins & Collectibles but best prices around. 9241 Waukegan Road, Morton Grove, Illinois
Dave, the owner will be at the Coutryside show, almost always near the entrance, left side.
Pete's Coins & Currency. 944 Curtis Street, Cowners Grove, Il. Also, really hard to find even if you live near there. Really nice people and decent prices.
Uuisource Numismatics, Inc. 6749 Dempster St, Morton Grove, Il. OK place but nothing special
Niles Coin Shop, 7637 N. Milwaukee, Road, Niles, Il. Decent prices, nice people to do buisness with.
Might be one of those Rosemont shows but those are usually
$5 to get in, no place to park except in the lot at about $11 the last time I was there.
If you make it to the Countryside show, I'll see you there. You can buy coffee for all my advise and info.
