So I hope I am posting this in the right section to being with.
I found this in my "bottled" change last night. 2008 Nebraska State Quarter.
It looks really bad so I didn't give it much attention, weight feels off. But again it's not in good condition. Looked at the rim and the rim is gone/inverted.
Now a steady a hand and dremel could do this to it, but being I'm not sure I thought I would toss it out and see what y'all think. I hope the photo works.

Looks like it was in an acid that only ate the copper off the edge.

Makes sense, had a gentleman once tell me as a joke to someone, drill a small hole in a penny, drop it into a thing of vinegar (I think) and it will eat the inside of it, but not the plating. Have yet to try that one..hehe. Thank you.

Yeah, it looks like somebody put it inside of a bezzle for a necklace. And Pinkybliss, that experiment does work.

Now just think. If you had a real lot of those, the skill to make little trains, drill a hole in the middle for an axel, and poof, you have a RR system.
