These coins were left behind from my father and slowly try to learn their history of such coins. Most of the coins were restricted to bring out of China about half a century ago and most were smuggling out by the Chinese immigrants who settled in various parts of the world, especially in SE Asia. Most of those coins continuing to be struck till 1950. So whether some of the coins were replicas or not, after the dies were used and reused? Nowadays, these coins appear everwhere in China, expecting unwary tourists to have their fingers burn.

The six characters above the bust image indicated year 3 (1914, 26.40 g, with .890 silver.

The seven characters above the bust image indicated year 8 to 10 (1919 to 1921). However, these coins were struck until 1929.

There are lots of forgeries of these coins, but there are also lots of genuine ones, too. I is a fairly common coin. Just be very careful when considering a purchase.
