I am sure if I get a huge hoard of them I will reconsider, but only having about 50 of them doesn't concern me. Report this Post to the Staff

Back in the late 70's myself and a friend had sort of a contest to see who could accumulate the most of those. After about 30 years of that, he had a few thousand dollars worth and I had close to a thousand dollars worth myself. He won. We went to several coin shows and asked all the dealers if they wanted to buy some or all. Almost all said NO. One dealer said $0.24 each as sort of his way of saying NO. All ended up in a bank. Would rather have had the interest from the bank for all those years. Now every time I get one in change I growl at it. Report this Post to the Staff

I know they are not worth a lot (being that so many were minted), but I fondly remember the bicentennial celebration as a kid (I was in grade school) and seeing the quarters when they came out (but oddly enough, I did not see my first bicentennial half dollar or dollar until about three years later). Included in them were 2 mint rolls of Bicentennial quarters, in the orange and white "1776-1976" paper. So who do you imagine I still think about 18 years later when I see a Bicentennial quarter in my change? Report this Post to the Staff

I only save Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky from Circulaion.I got lucky today and a Cashier at Wally World let me get 25 LMC 2011 in change today. There has been about 4 varitions listed on the web.
