2005 Nickel Struck Through Grease?

Struck through grease? Best pics I was able to get,it looks more faint in person and is the color of a normal nickel2005-Nickel-Struck-Through-Grease? 2005-Nickel-Struck-Through-Grease?

that is a cool coin!
It does look like a grease strike to me too.

I am going to have to start trying to find a U.S. person to send me some of their coinage!

Yeah, Struck Through Grease is pretty common, and is really noticeable on the 2005 nickels because they're so flat. It looks like it might have some rolling-machine damage on top of being Struck Through Grease. There was another thread about one of these recently, though it was only missing the "5" in the date. I happened to have one on hand at the time that was more greased so took a picture:

I usually throw them back because nice condition examples with clear, non-greased strikes are harder to find.
