I so wish to every god out there that I found this coin...unfortunately I didn't, and as the person who found this coin doesn't have the slightest interest in coins, I thought I'd share it.

So my buddy was over the other day, gaming it up on the xbox360 on my brand new 47" LG :) and the internet decided to go all funky, so we abandoned the games to find something else to do. I went to check what I had for cash in my wallet when I found the 1967 centennial dime I had put there from work the other day, which I showed to him. He had never seen the 67 mackeral dime before and that was about the only time he really cared about a coin. He asked how I got it, I said from work and I told him I usually get them from searching rolls.
Off to 7-11 we went, drudging through the hot desert sun of Winnipeg, MB ( it was 34 degrees with humidity! uhg ) to fetch our cities' legacy, the SLURPEE ( we are after all the slurpee capitol of the WORLD and have been for atleast 7 years running last I checked )
While at the 7-11 I decided to cash in a $20 I had for some laundry quarters ( 2 rolls ). We went back to my place with our refreshments to relax. I threw one of my quarter rolls at my friend and told him to open it, check for anything cool and just throw the rest on the table. He opened the roll and poured them into his hand.

The next thing I heard was "whoah dude.." and to my amazement I looked to my left to see a 1927 silver quarter.. 19 27...

And no..it's not a fake..
(sorry I don't have pics, camera is in Toronto with the wife right now)

that is cool. It makes you wonder what is the back-story on the coin? For instance, was it a coin stolen from a collector, then spent, then deposited, and re-rolled?

it's definately not in any MS state thats for sure, I don't know myself but it's still got all the lettering, theres only been a slight wearing to KG on the rear and some wearing to most of the lettering on the front but definately a nice specimen for the collection!
