I received my Panda's today from a ebay seller ID: marlin6573. He has another exact set that he is selling now, what's troubling me is that he using the same photo. I email from ebay an inquire about it, received a separate email from him saying that the serial numbers are NOT the same as the one I received from the auction I won, he did supplied new serial numbers, but still the same photo now he's auctioning the other set. Long story short, checked the serial number from NGC site and confirmed that it was right, call me paranoid, but I read that quite a few fake Panda's are on NGC slabs. I have taken better photos here, tell me what you all think. I have exhaust searching sites to get better picture, and these looked to be genuine.

Awesome set. I have yet to buy my first pandas, as much as I like them, the premiums are much higher than for the equivalent ASE/AGE, kangaroos, maple leaves, and on par with the English Britannias. Added to the fact that they're Chinese and have been counterfeited there extensively, makes this a cautious buy for me, since I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a real and a fake coin, even with an online guide... Great pick up!

Very nice and I say that you did well. Bizybackson you have every right to be cautious when buying pandas. There are just way to many fakes on the market. Some are good and some, well they just look fake.

many sellers on internet, sell slabbed coins of the same grade with one photo.I think that's a lot easier for them specially when you have several hundred coins for sale.Of course this is not good for collectors but that's the way the do.I take a look on your coins and they look originals. But buying them into NGC slabs it's safe enough and I think you have nothing to afraid.Specially when you use the certification number of the coins through NGC verification code.

I notice also that in these NGC slab series are tiny little dots on the front side of the slab label. It is the balancing scale image like in the reverse of the slab image, doesn't pickup on camera. Another security measure that I don't remember that it was mention before in CCF forums.
If anyone else have a NGC slab that have the same label style on the back, check the front of the label and see what I mean with a loop of course.
The type style looks consistence with genuine slabs, with fake NGC slabs, I am pretty sure you wont see the screen dots of the balancing scale like I mention above.

Thanks epop, I'd check the CCF first and read your post, I also have a 10 yuan coin you pictured and check all the markers you have in you photo. Weighted also and is genuine. Here's the pictures.
