A few weeks ago when I spotted a few 2011 non-magnetic pennies I thought they were a rare sight.
Today I found about 50 of them (almost as many as the magnetic types) while roll searching.
I have a feeling there will be more of non-magnetic types than magnetic types made before the end of the year. Edited by 1945V 08/05/2011 6:04 pm

I would hate to have that problem.... So far every 2011 that I have found is non-mag. Others that I have looking for me have had no luck either. I would love to find a magnetic one to fill the next spot in the collection Perhaps they are distributed by region? Just a guess, 'cause as I said, Calgary seems to have NONE!

I am in Nova Scotia and a stone's throw from New Brunswick and I have found both. About 70 % are magnetic. I did manage to get mint rolls of each at a local grocery store.

I agree the 2011 Non-magnetic pennies are common & not rare, I found many! but the 2011 cent magnetic types seem to be the rare ones. There are only a few 2011 magnetic types listed on ebay and going for about $10 each. how many of the 2011 cent in magnetic type are out there?

For many weeks, all of the pennies were non-magnetic, but lately the magnetic ones are showing up by the rolls. It's going to be a 50-50 split.

It's really hard to keep up on these composition varieties. Some I have paid a slight premium for.

Yes, I think the 2010 magnetic cent may have come out of a 'prooflike' set, not a proof or Speciman set.
